Vista Consulting Engineers was established in 2007, but its technical DNA and professional ethos are rooted in the decades-long career of our founder, Leo K. Overmann. Mr. Overmann began his career in 1979 after earning a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, USA, and became a Registered Professional Engineer in multiple U.S. states.
Prior to founding Vista, he held senior positions for over twenty years at leading global engineering consultancies, where he led and contributed to numerous milestone projects across North America, Europe, and Asia, establishing his authority in hazardous waste landfill and geosynthetic applications.
Vista’s mission is to seamlessly integrate this globally proven body of engineering knowledge and quality management experience with the markets of Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Southeast Asia, providing you with reliable solutions that embody both international standards and local practicality.

1979 - 1996
Laying the Technical Foundation
The founder began his career in the USA, deeply involved in and later leading major hazardous waste landfill and geosynthetic projects, establishing a solid technical foundation and industry reputation.
1996 - 2002
Introducing Expertise to Asia
Served as Managing Director at Golder Associates (HK) Limited, systematically introducing top-tier international environmental and geotechnical engineering experience to Asia, successfully delivering landmark projects such as the Shuen Wan and Urban Landfills Restoration in Hong Kong.
2007 - Present
The Vista Era & Deep-rooted Development
Officially founded Vista Consulting Engineers Limited, continuing to serve the Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Southeast Asian markets with a more focused consultancy model.
In 2012, additionally took the role of Technical Director for a geosynthetic testing laboratory in Hong Kong, deeply integrating quality control with technological innovation.
